With around 760,000 inhabitants, Frankfurt am Main is the fifth-largest city in Germany and the economic centre of the Rhine-Main region. Important for Bürgergeld recipients: the responsible authority is the Jobcenter Frankfurt am Main (joint institution of the City of Frankfurt and the Agentur für Arbeit Frankfurt am Main, main office Mainzer Landstraße 183, 60327) — not the Jobcenter Main-Taunus-Kreis (seat Hofheim) or Jobcenter Hochtaunuskreis (seat Bad Homburg), which cover the surrounding districts.
Special for Frankfurt founders: The Agentur für Arbeit Frankfurt am Main (Fischerfeldstraße 10-12, 60311, for ALG I) and the Jobcenter Frankfurt am Main (Mainzer Landstraße 183, 60327, for Bürgergeld) are separate authorities at separate addresses — your AVGS routes through whichever office pays your benefit, and the Jobcenter runs additional branch offices across the city's districts.

The Goethe Unibator of the Goethe-Universität Frankfurt is the central founder centre for students, doctoral candidates, and researchers — advising, EXIST application coaching, and an incubator program. The Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (Frankfurt UAS) runs the equivalent for the university-of-applied-sciences world with its Institute for Entrepreneurship. Spatially, Frankfurt's founder scene concentrates around TechQuartier — Hesse's largest startup hub, based in the ECB quarter at Platz der Einheit 2 — as well as across the wider Rhine-Main region.
The Gründungszuschuss (§ 93 SGB III) is for ALG I recipients and is applied for at the Agentur für Arbeit — up to 15 months of funding. The Einstiegsgeld (§ 16b SGB II) is for Bürgergeld recipients and is applied for at the Jobcenter — up to 24 months, plus a potential investment cost subsidy up to €5,000.
