The IHK Schwaben (Stettenstraße 1+3, 86150 Augsburg, founder consulting: 0821 3162-0, email: info@schwaben.ihk.de), headquartered in Augsburg, is the responsible Chamber of Industry and Commerce for commercial start-ups in Augsburg and all of Bavarian Swabia. For craft-trade start-ups, the Handwerkskammer für Schwaben (Siebentischstraße 52-58, 86161 Augsburg) is responsible. As the Bavarian development bank, the LfA Förderbank Bayern offers, among others: the Startkredit (investment and working-capital loan up to €7.5 million, available up to 7.5 years after founding, with liability release), the Universalkredit (SME financing), and, via Bayern Kapital, equity capital for innovative start-ups. Nationally in addition: the KfW-StartGeld (up to €125,000, 80% KfW liability release). The Stadtsparkasse Augsburg and the Augusta-Bank Raiffeisen-Volksbank support KfW applications and house-bank financing.

Yes. The HSA_funkenwerk of the Universität Augsburg is the central founder center for students, doctoral candidates, and researchers — advising, EXIST application coaching, and an incubator program. The Technische Hochschule Augsburg (THA) runs the equivalent for the university-of-applied-sciences world with its Startup-Service and Sandbox program. Spatially, Augsburg's founder scene concentrates in the Innovationspark Augsburg (carbon, mechatronics, fiber-composite materials) and the neighboring TechZentrum Augsburg — as well as around the university campus on Universitätsstraße.
